Job Title: Sustainability ConsultantLocation: Winchester or BristolSalary: TBC, competitive Due to our continuing success, our client has an opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Consultant to join the team in Winchester or Bristol. The successful candidate will have a real desire to learn, grow and forge a long-term career within an award-winningmulti-discipline consultancy.You will specialise in sustainable appraisals, carbon and energy modelling and climate change. You will play a key part in the continued growth of the team that spans over a variety of sectors including (but not limited to): schools, university buildings, offices,industrial units, hotels, leisure centres and hospitals.Responsibilities:* Assessment methods including BREEAM, SKA HQM, DREAM, WELL and Fitwel.* Embodied carbon strategy and assessment * Net Zero Carbon strategy and assessment * Dynamic Thermal modelling using IES VE and Elmhurst including thermal comfort, Part L and CIBSE TM54 * Assist with producing technical briefing notes and reports* Assist project stakeholders with all issues relating to sustainability* Opportunities to expand the role to encompass wider issues of sustainability, including but not limited to:o Circular economy strategyo Industry engagement e.g. through the UK Green Building Councilo Health and wellbeing and social value strategyo Bespoke sustainability strategies using the Ridge 360 frameworkQualifications:* Experience working within the built environment sector* Training in BREEAM and other similar sustainability assessment methodologies* An understanding of Building Regulation Part L and TM54, with previous thermal modelling experience * A good eye for detail and passion for sustainable building design* Able to produce concise verbal and written reports to a good standard of English* Familiarity with Microsoft Office* Knowledge of renewable and LZCT options* Experience with planning support documents (Energy Statements, Sustainability Reports, whole life carbon reports etc)What We Can Offer:This role offers you the chance to progress your career at a forward thinking, friendly company.
