Salary range: £50,000 to £55,000 per annumLocation: Leatherhead or BristolWorking Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office and working from home.Closing date for this role is 17th September but we encourage early applicationsA Solicitor works within the legal team providing day to day general contractual advice, legal support and guidance to the business.The Legal & Commercial team manage the businesses exposure to commercial risks by reviewing and negotiating terms with customers, partners, and suppliers.• Review proposed contracts to assess in compliance with the Company contracting policy; to assess whether risks to the business are mitigated and key objectives are catered for, whilst weighing up wider commercial considerations.• Assist in ensuring that the contracts approval process is being adhered to.• Be cognisant of wider commercial considerations in the business and the risk profile against which the contract terms apply.• Administer non-disclosure agreements and carry out reviews.• Assist with due diligence, anti bribery and corruption compliance – keeping abreast with legislation and ensuring that databases of checks are reviewed quarterly.• Ensure compliance with Company insurance for the business and liaise with our insurance brokers where necessary.• Liaise with the Technical axis of the business to ensure risks are understood and mitigated on a commercial level.• Draft new contract terms when required, including supply agreements, framework agreements, NDAs, letters of intent, letters of variation and related document.• Negotiate terms with customers and sub-contractors where appropriate, including attending client meetings as and when required.• Provide an advisory service to the business on agreed contract terms and general legal issues.• Assist and direct other members of the project team as required.Requirements• Degree level Education (Law degree) with the LPC/GDL qualification (or Cilex equivalent).• Previous experience of working in the commercial contracts sector.• A proven understanding of contract law.• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload and manage well under pressure.• Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.• Good attention to detail Additional desirable skills• Qualification as a solicitor or Cilex fellow.• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics as a platform.• Mentoring skills for other non-qualified members of the team.• Familiarity with government/defence clauses (DEFCONs).Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.With benefits to suit your lifestyle, we have a flexible approach to your location and working arrangements.Cant find a suitable opportunity at Frazer-Nash at present Please check out the other opportunities available within our parent and sister companies #J-18808-Ljbffr
