As part of their growth anddevelopment, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar PV Designer to join theirJob DescriptionThe Solar PV Designer will be responsible for designing PV system designs, mountingsystems, stringing arrangements, instructing surveys, planning applications, gridconnection applications, refining system proposals and generally knowing andadvising on the whole gamut of solar PV and energy storage systems. This roleinvolves working closely with salespeople, operational delivery teams and externalcustomers to ensure designs meet needs of feasibility and profitability, and complywith the current regulations and standards in the UK.Responsibilities1. Designing PV systems , particularly industrial and agricultural.2. Preparing single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and shading analyses.3. Performing system performance evaluations and yield calculations.4. Preparing and reviewing detailed drawings and specifications for constructionprojects, according to engineering sketches and design proposal specifications.5. Assisting with permit submission and coordinating with utility companies for grid6. Working with the sales and installation teams to develop design modifications as7. Keeping up to date with the latest design software, PV technologies and UK8. Providing technical support and training to other team members.Qualifications and experience1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field,preferably from a BSc or similarly scientific or technical program.2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience designing solar PV systems, in which time theywill have designed to installation and completion dozens if not hundreds of suchsystems in the UK.3. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.4. Proficiency in using CAD and PV*Sol software.5. Understanding of the rules around the IET Code of Practice for Grid ConnectedSolar PV Systems, and similar codes for both solar PV and energy storage systems6. Will be able to demonstrate ability in predominantly the commercial sector, butalso the residential sector.7. String knowledge of the MCS standards and tools.8. Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and industry standards.9. Strong understanding of PV system components and their specifications.10. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.11. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.12.
