Our client based in Bristol at the junction of the M5/M4 at Aztec West are a busy Global FinTech software provider to the worlds top banks. They are seeking a number of Software Development Engineer in Test x 4 with Non Functional Testing experience the skills set out belowThey are happy to offer Sponsorship if that is required for you as an individual if you are already here in the UK .if you can work three days a week in the office the rest can be remote .The Automation Test Team is part of the core software solution services alongside DevOps. The team work across multiple software solutions each with their own automated build pipeline. The test team work closely with the development teams following an Agilesoftware development model.You will build and extend test automation frameworks focusing on key areas, e.g.: Resilience Performance Security Code QualityYou will work closely with and as part of the wider software development team to create, maintain and debug automated frameworks that complement the manual development processes.You will assist with the creation of test strategies, plans, procedures and reports detailing the test process and infrastructure to appropriately assess that software applications meet defined requirements.Job Responsibilities Operate and use automated test tools Build and run automated test systems and create automated and manual test scripts for software products that are not yet automated Producing test documentation (test strategy, test plans, test scripts, release report) Establish the test approach and defect tracking workflow for multiple development teams Contribute to Agile scrum teams, participate in daily stand-ups and be proactive on work tasks and bottleneck resolutionKey Skills Must have experience of creating Test Cases based not only on requirements and design documents, but also from reading and interpreting systems at the code level. Significant experience in non-functional and white box testing. Must have a strong working knowledge of scripting and programming in current languages (e.g., Java, Angular, JavaScript) Knowledge and use of databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL Server, Postgres) Essential to have worked with software testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, SoapUI, Jasmine, Karma, Junit, Cucumber, DART, or similar) Proficient in the use of Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins 2 and Jenkins files Knowledge and use of multiple operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) Strong oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate with technical and non-technical team members. Enthusiastic, proactive, troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn new technologies Must be dynamic, innovative, self-starting problem solver that can operate with minimal supervision Analytical and inquisitive Experience in working in an Agile workload environment Self-motivated and willing to speak to colleagues to find out missing information.Desirable Skills Excellent understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and the different types of testing such as Functional, Non-Functional and Integration Testing. Demonstrable Systems Integration capabilities including integrating 3rd party systems or components. Able to understand existing Test Process and identify improvements and efficiencies. Knowledge of file formats (e.g. csv, xml, SWIFT) Experience with containerisation technology.QualificationsISTQB / ISEB foundation certification, degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or MathematicsExperience3 years experience developing and testing software, and working with software development teamsExperience of creating Test Cases based on requirements and design documents.Experience with software testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, SoapUI, Jasmine, Karma, Junit, Cucumber, DART, or similar)Benefits Free onsite parking 25 days annual leave rising to 28 with length of service.
