We are looking for part-time or full-time AMHP qualifed social workers who can work ad-hoc covering a variety of shifts with in the Emergency Duty Team. The hours will be flexible to cover overnights, weekends and bank holidays. The hours are ad-hoc so 9.00 - 17.00 is not necessarily applicable for the shifts requiredRate is inclusive of the 26% OOH allowance.You will be undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments in a variety of settings, offering effective emergency social work services to 4 Local Authorities, outside normal working hours, where you will make sound judgements in a variety of challenging situations. You will be working within a small team of Senior Practitioners, where you will receive contacts from the public and other professionals regarding social care issues across Bristol, BANES, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, which require an urgent response. What will you be doing:* You will be undertaking Mental Health Act Assessments in a variety of settings. * You will be working within a small team of Senior Practitioners, where you will receive contacts from the public and other professionals regarding social care issues, which require an urgent response. * The hours will be flexible to cover overnights, weekends and bank holidays. * You will be demonstrating your knowledge of legislation and statutory duties under the Children Act, Mental Health Act, Care Act and other relevant legislation and responding accordingly. * You will be up to date with good practice in all areas of social work and this will determine your action. * You will be aware of service and policy objectives and carry out action consistent with meeting those objectives. * You will work jointly with other agencies and statutory bodies (e.g. Police, Health etc.) and maintain good working relationships with those agencies. *You will complete all necessary forms, including maintaining a log of all calls received, indicating the action taken and ensuring that details are reported to the appropriate duty desk.
