Job Description

SOC Engineer | DevOps Engineer | Linux Sys Admin | AWS | CICD piplelines | Terraform | Ansible | Docker | KubernetesPermanent - £50,000 - £60,000Are you looking to work with one of the largest AWS users in Euroupe Then look no further! I have partnered with one of the most exciting businesses in the UK, who have gone from strength to strength as they have leveraged the importance of their online platform to millions during the current pandemic.The senior DevOps engineer/ Sys Admin will work within a 24/7 support team of 6, supporting the external platform and identifying problems before they are seen by the end user. Based in Bristol, you will be helping to support the PaaS side of the business. As the DevOps engineer/ Sys Admin, you will be responsible for supporting the function using a wide variety of tool, building CICD pipelines, encouraging best practice and have plenty of opportunity to move internally in to a more SRE/ Software engineering/ wider DevOps role as you progress.

  • Strong experience in AWS cloud environments
  • Experience with Linux System Administration
  • Understanding of Windows
  • Experience with coding (Python/Java)
  • Experience building CICD pipelines from scratch and deploying using Jenkins
  • Some knowledge of Terraform and Ansible
  • Ability to work effectively in an agile team
  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders at a variety of levels
    • This role has a rota/ shift pattern which will allow you to work in block patterns. You must be commutable to Bristol and have a passion for providing excellent service and reliability.The role will follow a 2 stage process, which will be a mixture of technical whiteboarding, as well as further conversations that delve in to the suitability of the candidate culturally.
