Job Description

World Class Defence Organisation based in Bristol or Stevenage (you can be based from either site, depending on your preference) is currently looking to recruit a Simulation Project Lead (Software Project Manager) subcontractor on an initial 6 monthcontract. The role will likely be 2 days a week onsite and the works working remotely from home.Hourly Rate: £65.00ph (Umbrella) Contract Duration: 6 Months initially and then ongoing and long-term thereafter. Simulation Project Lead (Software Project Manager) Working in our Weapon Systems Simulation & Experimentation team, youll integrate real products, models, and synthetic environments to provide visual demonstration, verification & validation as well as training capability and support. Responsibilities:Youll lead a team to deliver innovative solutions using the latest technology to provide an end to end representation of the weapon systems through:

  • Visualisation and demonstrations
  • Experimentation
  • Design and development
  • Verification and Validation
  • Training Systems.
Skillset/experience required:
  • Able to coordinate all resources through the process of planning, coordinating and controlling in order to deliver on time with validated quality
  • Committed to make AGILE/SCRUM/Six Sigma/DevOps methods of software development a success (proven record of accomplishment 5-10 developers)
  • Ability to create strong working relations with the multi-disciplined project environments that we work in.
  • Track record of working within an agile / SCRUM / DevOps environment
  • Experience of reporting progress through agile metrics such as burnup charts, team velocity, cycle times and work-load-forecast.
  • Experience of continuous build, integration and delivery pipeline automation using industry leading toolsets.
  • Ideally a Software Engineering background with some experience of C# and C++
