I have a super exciting position available for a Senior Automation QA Engineer to join my client based in Bristol. They develop software that contributes to enhancing the lives of millions of individuals. You will need to be happy to commit to going intothe office 3 days a week but they are based in North Bristol which makes it easily accessible from different areas, and they have the benefit of on site parking available.Youll be joining as the Senior Automation QA within the company and be the go-to expert on automation. Youll be joining a established QA team that are currently made up of predominantly manual testers. Youll be the advocate for Automation across multipledevelopment teams and work streams, fostering and driving a culture of putting test automation at their core. Youll be instrumental in guiding the teams towards embracing automation and to continuously enhancing their processes.They are in the midst of transitioning their automation to utilise Playwright and Typescript, moving away from older tools. Your responsibilities will include further developing these frameworks, selecting the most effective tools to advance the currentautomation practices and expanding automation coverage across their products. As the primary contact for test automation matters, you will lead the charge, with plans in place to hire another automation tester to support you in the future.Youll work closely with the development team and internal stakeholders and work to instill and promote a culture of best practice within their teams around test automation. Part of the role will also be to eventually mentor manual testers, helping themto develop their automation skills over time.The ideal person will have be passionate about test automation and have a proven track record with tools such as Playwright, TypeScript, and/or Cypress. Youll need to be the sort of person who enjoys staying abreast of the latest technologies and trendsin test automation and have a demonstrated ability of managing multiple testing activities and driving process improvements within teams.
