Job Description

Senior System Safety Assurance Consultant£60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus.Bristol / wfh /hybridMilitary level clearance eligibility required (UK Passport holders).We have a new role open today for a Senior System Safety Assurance Consultant with a background in the UK defence sector. This is a great opportunity for a Senior Safety Consultant to join a growing company that has earned a great reputation for delivery. In this position you will play an integral part in helping to shape a growing company.Day to day, you will work with clients providing specialist Safety Assurance consultancy services and also help to support business development activities where your knowledge is strong. You can work from our offices, client sites and from home. Client needs mean we sometimes need to travel; we take a flexible approach to that and work hard to meet both staff and clients needs. Responsibilities

  • Take a technical leadership role for Safety Assurance on projects, tenders and quotations.
  • Taking active steps to ensure customer satisfaction and obtain repeat business.
  • Deliver Safety Assurance and Independent Safety Advice services.
  • Support recruitment, training and mentoring.
  • Involvement with business winning activities, account management and growth.
  • Supporting the wider business objectives for ongoing success.
  • Exploring prospects for new opportunities.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience of management and delivery of System Safety Assurance.
  • Experience within one or more of the following Defence domains: Air; Land; Sea; Ordnance, Munitions, Explosives; Nuclear.
  • Development of Safety Management Plans, Safety Case Reports, Hazard Logs and Legislative Compliance Assessments.
  • Experience of eCassandra, Reliability Workbench and ASCE tools.
  • Previous consultancy and business winning experience would be highly desirable.

  • Well-organised, able to work autonomously, time-manage multiple tasks, work within budgets, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • An optimistic, positive and driven approach to delivery; equally able to lead teams and be a team player.
  • Able to apply core experience and skills to new domains, and quickly understand new domain regulations and requirements.
