Job Description

Company Overview:Join our clients dynamic global engineering client as a Senior Programme Manager and be at the forefront of innovation and strategic development initiatives. We are a leader in the engineering industry, committed to delivering groundbreaking products andsolutions that redefine industry standards.Position Overview:We are seeking a seasoned Senior Programme Manager to spearhead and provide strategic direction to our portfolio of product development programmes. The ideal candidate will lead a team, ensuring that projects align with the strategic roadmap, deliveringexceptional results within set timelines, budgets, and quality parameters.Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct, lead, and coordinate diverse programmes/projects, leveraging strategic thinking, operational excellence, and effective leadership to achieve organisational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Global Programme and Product Management to align Abatement and Integrated System development programmes with business needs, emphasising improved time-to-market for innovative product delivery.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, including Innovation Centres, Divisional Engineering Managers, and Global Programme/ Product Managers, ensuring clarity of requirements and priorities.
  • Ensure resource alignment across projects, sourcing the right skills and tools necessary for successful project delivery, potentially extending collaboration across other Product Companies/Divisions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to ensure timely, cost-effective, and specification-compliant project deliveries.
  • Track project progress, reporting to Division and Senior Leadership teams, and proactively resolving obstacles to ensure smooth product introductions.
  • Conduct project stage gate reviews, ensuring adherence to relevant global and local processes, such as the Product Commercialisation Process (PCP).
  • Lead team development, fostering a high-performing workforce accountable for meeting departmental and organisational objectives.
  • Drive global business alignment, establishing consistent programme and project management practices across Product Companies.
  • Collaborate with other PCs and divisional teams to develop and implement new/improved processes, setting industry standards.
Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
  • Recognised Project or Programme Management Qualification
  • Degree in Technical/Mechanical/Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering preferred; alternatively, a software or science degree may be considered
  • Experience/Skills:
  • Significant experience in capital projects and programme management within an industrial products environment.
  • Managing multiple complex NPI programmes/projects across various phases and years.
  • Prior line management or functional management experience.
  • Expertise in organisational transformation and change management.
  • Proven experience influencing and managing global teams.
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation skills, including executive-level engagement.
  • Strong analytical abilities for complex programme requirements.
  • Commercial acumen with a clear leadership style.
  • Proficiency in project planning tools and problem-solving.
  • Ability to remain composed under pressure, finding creative solutions to challenges.
  • Proactive in exploring new solutions or methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills across diverse organisational levels and cultures.
