Job Description

DescriptionSenior Operational Governance Officer Permanent Bristol, Hybrid An exciting opportunity has arisen that is ideal for an experienced candidate to progress their Computershare career within the Issuer Services business area.This position sits within the Operational Governance Team, made up of one other Senior Operational Governance Officer and the Operational Governance Manager. This team work with the CIS business units to advise on CASS and Conduct related matters, and if appropriate,help implement improvements. Reviewing and maintaining relevant policies, procedures and provide business advice on CASS and Conduct matters.The role holder will be offered the chance for further development in the way of paid study for (IOC) Investment in Operations Certificate. This is a great opening for an internal candidate to join the team on a permanent basis in a hybrid role.About the Role Reporting into the Operational Governance Manager, this role holds responsibility for supporting the Operational Governance function within CIS, to ensure that CIS events and processes are designed and conducted in a CASS compliant manner and employees havereceived the appropriate level of training.Becoming established in the role, youll act as a subject matter expert for internal and external audit and compliance requirements, including participation in reviews and producing findings reports.Partnering with the various areas of the business this role will see you support the central training team on relevant training content and provide recommendations on matters relating to financials, regulations and resources.Other Key Accountabilities

  • Write and maintain CIS CASS and Conduct Policies to ensure they remain up to date and fit for purpose;
  • Assist in providing CIS with advice and guidance on procedural and regulatory requirements;
  • Work with central training team and provide content for relevant e-learning and class room-based learning;
  • Assist with the co-ordination for the any external audits;
  • Update and maintain the firms CASS Assurance Mapping and CASS RP to ensure it remains up to date and fit for purpose; and
  • Produce MI for all relevant forums, including CASSFORM and the Conduct Risk Forums.
Skills/Experience & Competencies As an internal candidate youll hold strong knowledge of operational processes within the regulated financial services world and have a strong understanding of business processes, procedures, and systems. Ideally, youll have a good working understanding ofthe issuer business area, along with exposure to CASS and Conduct Compliance.Strong communication skills will allow you to successfully communicate across all levels of the business, whilst having an established internal network that you can develop further to allow effective relationships. With the ability analyse data, produce qualityreports and meaningful MI.

  • Analytical ability and aptitude for problem solving
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
