Job Description

Harding is leading the way in innovative onboard cruise retailing, adopting a Trinity Partnership approach with our cruise line partners and brand partners to create exhilarating shopping experiences. We stay at the cutting edge of retailing; consistentlyproviding outstanding customer service and being recognised as Cruise Retailer of the Year for 2019.We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Merchandiser on a 12 month FTC basis. Reporting to the Head of Merchandising this is a fantastic role with high level business exposure. Managing and leading the divisions merchandising team of Assistant Merchandisersand Merchandising Assistants to maximise commercial opportunities through the effective management of inventory, maximising sales and profits whilst minimising stock and costs.Key Role Objectives

  • Manage intake flow into business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales and minimise risks
  • Work with the MAs to control inventory levels, allocations and replenishment to ships
  • Maintain Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI)
  • Work with the buying team to deliver new ship set-ups, providing analysis and creating OTBs
  • Partner with the buying team to create seasonal strategies for your department relating to all KPIs
  • Identify and produce seasonal markdown. Review and manage the process to ensure effective implementation on the ships
  • Provide weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget
  • Work alongside the buying team to plan and implement promotional activity
  • Any other ad hoc duties as reasonably requested
Who you are:
  • Strong experience in retail merchandising preferably within a multi-brand environment
  • Proven team management and leadership experience
  • Adopts a flexible approach to work and adapts quickly and effectively to unexpected changes
  • Advanced planning and analytical skills, including Excel / ERP skills
  • Good judgement and decision making skills
  • Confidence in suggesting calculated risks
  • Strong customer awareness and understanding
  • Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
  • Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
  • Exceptionally organised, methodical and efficient
  • Time keeping and ability to meet stringent deadlines
