Job Description

The companyA well-established and growing family run business based across 6 sites.The roleReporting into the HR Manager this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to provide administrative support to the HR team.Duties will include:

  • Managing the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, liaising with agencies, logging applications using the recruitment planner, preparing recruitment files for interviewing managers etc. Liaising with recruiting managers to arrange interviewsand booking of interview rooms.
  • Conducting HR inductions for new employees and right to work checks.
  • Recording of staff holidays daily.
  • Setting up and maintaining HR & Training records for all employees ensuring all records are complete and all information held is up to date.
  • Producing and issuing training certificates as needed.
  • Producing and distributing weekly timesheets to Line Managers in relevant departments.
  • Supporting the HR team on any other ad hoc matters relating to the HR Department.
  • Providing Reception Cover.
  • Complying with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept tidy.
  • Complying with all aspects of the company quality, environmental management, H&S and energy management standards and occupational health and safety management best practice, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Previous HR administration experience.
  • Proficient in the use of IT, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other bespoke HR IS databases.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Can be proactive and work under own initiative; working as part of a small team is essential to the smooth running of the HR and Training function.
  • Discretion and confidentiality are key attributes for this position.
Salary£24,000 - £26,000 with a salary review May 2025, CIPD study support, 23 days holiday, health care scheme (Vitality) and life assurance 3 x salary (both after 6 months service), pension (employer 4%, employee 5%), free parking and hours of work are 8.30am- 5pm.LocationBristol (BS30) - 100% office based.
