This company is looking for an experienced Senior Electronics Engineer to join their busy Design department at their offices in Fishponds, Bristol. Youll work on several live projects for a variety of customers, designing and developing systems aimed at revolutionising a range of industry sectors.The successful engineer will be hard-working, knowledgeable, driven and able to work alongside the wider teams within the business to ensure projects are delivered both on-time and within budget.Youll be able to prioritise your workload and will seek excellence through high quality workmanship. As part of your role, youll support your fellow team members to enable best practice and the continual improvement of the companys design services.About you- Completed the relevant degree level qualification and have 4 years relevant experience, or;- A minimum of 6 years experience.- Familiarity with microprocessor/microcontroller architectures and peripherals (Ideally Microchip).Skills and Experience- Writing hardware requirements/design/test specifications- Microcontroller circuit design- Microprocessor circuit design i.e. ARM based, DDR, NAND flash etc- Analogue circuit design i.e. opamps etc- Power supply design i.e. linear and switched mode using off the shelf devices- Schematic entry into a CAD system (Altium preferred)And have some knowledge of:- Working with embedded software engineers to optimise designs- Designing for manufacture and test- Simulation (LTspice, TINA-TI or similar)One or more of the below would be useful:- EMC test experience/designing to minimise EMC issues- Altium PCB layout experience- Hardware design with FPGAs- VHDLSalary & Benefits:- Salary of £28,000 to £32,000- Flexitime system- Private healthcare- Company pension scheme- 22 days annual leave plus additional day for every 5 years service- Birthday day off- Monthly and quarterly employee recognition scheme- Learning and development opportunities- Four social events a year- On-site parking- Complimentary refreshmentsIf youve got a passion for electronics, get a buzz out of finding new ways to solve unique problems and enjoy a busy and friendly work environment, they want to hear from you.This post is based in Fishponds, Bristol.Working hours are 37.5 hrs per week, Monday - Friday.
