Job Description

An exciting opportunity for aSenior Electronic Controls Design Engineer thats willing to travel within Europe when required, to work for a world leader in the supply and lifecycle management of refrigerants and associated products and services.Youll ideally be looking to progress your careerManaging electrical projects for the specification, design, and installation of new equipment. Youll Work as part of a cross-disciplinary Engineering team and collaborate with Operational teams on solutionsand improvements across European sites. With this, Strive to work with all necessary safety and environmental standards, ensuring you are sharing your technical knowledge. Line manage and coach junior engineersLocation:Portbury, Bristol with travel to A-Gas sites in EuropeSalary: £49,000 - £57,000Requirements Essential

  • Strong LV electrical and control systems design experience
  • PLC programming experience, preferably Allen Bradley
  • Experience of managing electrical projects from concept to commissioning
  • Experience of AutoCAD or similar
  • Ability to read P&ID drawings
  • Understanding of EU Regulations (CE Marking, Machine Directive, LVD, PED)
  • Basic understanding of Functional Safety
  • Basic understanding of ATEX regulations and IS equipment
Desirable
  • Experience of flammable areas, ATEX regulations and IS equipment
  • Degree level Electrical/Software/Mechatronics Engineering or relevant qualification
  • Broad computer programming experience with Python, Java or C#
  • Experience with Ignition SCADA system
  • Contractor management experience
  • COMPEX certification and Experience in Hazardous Area Assessments
  • Experience in Functional Safety Assessments, programming of Safety PLCs and Controllers
  • Experience of pressurised liquefied gas systems
  • Multilingual
  • Ability to analyse and present KPIs using SCADA
