Senior Data ScientistSalary: £55,000-£70,000Location: Bradley Stoke (Bristol) - Hybrid 2x days per week in officeOur client has an exciting new position for a Senior Data Scientist who will work in the optimisation division within the Insurance Pricing team. The role links up directly with the Pricing, Product, Commercial and Finance colleagues toensure that internal and external guidance develops and maintains our pricing models and systems.As we transition to Python from Radar, the role will create end-to-end modelling pipelines, lead the set-up and development of our new machine learning environment, and upskill other Pricing department members in Python.About the role as Senior Data Scientist

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve complex business problems. Drive the exploration and adoption of cutting-edge data science techniques and technologies.
• Data Strategy and Model Governance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the companys data strategy. Ensure models are fair, explainable, and compliant with relevant regulations and policies.
• Project Management - Manage and deliver projects on time, to high standards.
• Continuous learning - Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning.

Requirements of Senior Data ScientistThe successful candidate will have multiple years of experience building predictive models in a production environment using Python and be able to bring to life their previous experience on what and how they have created these models.In a production environment, you will have previous experience using Data Science platforms like Azure, DevOps, Databricks, and Dataiku.We are a friendly, fast-paced business and require a willingness to learn, an ambition to succeed, and the ability to resolve complex issues whilst working collaboratively with the immediate and broader team.Qualifications:

• Numerical degree grade 2.1 or above in Mathematics/Statistics/Data Science or equivalent.
• A-level maths grade A or above
