This role is a great opportunity to work with a highly motivated team of engineers who have worked in the communications industry for many years, working alongside a world-class design team to produce market leading products for the data communications industry.The CandidateCandidates with recent experience in a design or support role of high-speed optical components or modules are ideal and recent experience of high-speed optical data communication ICs, specifically clock and data recovery, transimpedance amplifiers and laser drivers. Candidates must also have great communication and interpersonal skills.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPresent technical leadership for new and legacy products customers. This will include 5G infrastructure, 10Gbit/s, 400Gbit/s and 800Gbit/s systems.Liaise with marketing, design, and the customers to provide support.Be the voice of the customer and an active member within in New Product Development Teams.Express the delivery of customer documentation, application notes and datasheets.Visit customers for on-site problem solving and technical discussion when required in support of the field applications team.RequirementsBSc degree in Electrical/ Electronic/ Optical Engineering with preferably a second degree in an associated field.Proven experience in design and/or support of high-speed optical components or modules.Demonstrated knowledge of high-speed signal integrity and board design.Proven experience of making high-speed measurements in a lab environment on products operating at data rates of 10Gbit/s and above.Familiarity with related optical and industry standards.Knowledge of PCB schematic design and layout tools, especially Cadence Allegro.Experience of HFSS an advantage.Experienced in working with marketing and systems engineering for product definition.%MCEPASTEBIN%
