Job Description

Join us as a Security Specialist, NatWest Rooster Money

  • Were looking for a DevSecOps Security Specialist with a drive to shift security practices left
  • Take on a new challenge and use your specialist knowledge to support the wider bank in building and operating secure services that protect both colleagues and customers
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in a security related field, youll make sure that the security implications of the backlog are understood in the right way, building security early into design
  • Youll be joining an exciting and fast-paced area of the bank, where you can expect great exposure both for you and your work
What youll doAs a Security Specialist, youll work at a domain level to understand and ensure robust security is continuously considered and incorporated at every stage, programme increment and scrum team delivery throughout the development lifecycle and to support a DevSecOpsapproach. Youll collaborate with scrum teams and participate in story refinement, sprint planning and retrospective sessions, establishing a culture of innovation and strategic thinking that makes sure that the bank has knowledge of, and opportunities to exploit, thelatest developments in your area of specialism. Youll also be:
  • Leading on the information security, as well as facilitating security awareness and knowledge sharing
  • Taking the lead on identifying and managing security incidents, along with identifying and managing security risks across the bank, and interfacing with the NatWest Group Security team and Security Operations Centre division
  • Increasing security within the remote working approach, and supporting penetration tests and vulnerability scans across information systems
  • Making sure that decisions made are based on robust data, return on investment and value measures that demonstrate thoughtful and intelligent cost management
  • Encouraging the identification of ideas and driving the delivery of initiatives that will reduce cost and simplify the bank
  • Building and leveraging relationships with colleagues across the bank and third parties to make sure decisions made are commercially focused and create long term value for the bank
The skills youll needWere looking for a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, with cloud security experience including AWS, along with knowledge of security information and event management using Splunk, including logging, monitoring and audit. Youll also demonstrate:
  • Knowledge of data loss prevention
  • Data privacy knowledge, including GDPR and ICO
  • Endpoint security experience, including endpoint detection and response and zero-trust network access
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
