Job Description

Monarch Education is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and dedicated School Caretaker to start immediately.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker, or ideally in a similar environment. This is a busy and varied role based in a school environment, so you will need to be flexible and practical in your approach.We would ideally like the candidate to have the below but not compulsory:

  • Have at least 3 months recent experience within a caretaking role or within a similar environment;
  • A good level of English;
  • Ability to multi-task;
  • To carry out all routine maintenance and repairs on site including routine painting and decorating.
  • To undertake small building repairs and maintenance
  • To assist, when required, with all major and minor works projects.
  • To undertake grounds maintenance work e.g., clearing litter, trimming hedges and removing weeds
  • Managing access and maintaining security
  • Arriving on site to make sure the premises is safe to enter
  • Have basic DIY skills
  • Be reasonably fit to cope with the lifting and carrying involved
