This is a development post and as such you would also be required to attend online lectures with our apprenticeship provider to supplement on-the-job learning.This is a great opportunity for an energetic self-starter who is keen to take their first steps towards a career in Financial Services. Specifically you would get the chance to learn risk management techniques and how to apply them in a fast-paced industryfor which the regulatory landscape continues to evolve.If successful you would join a friendly and high performing Risk & Control team, which sits within the banks Retail Banking function. The role will require extensive interaction with the following areas who collectively aim to deliver a first-class serviceto our retail customers:
  • Product Managers whose remit includes the design of the banks investments, savings and current account products
  • Operational teams who provide ongoing processing and servicing of those products
  • A Contact Team who are manage all day-to-day interactions with our customers
There will be opportunities to collaborate with other placement co-workers from around the business on project work which will directly benefit the business and support your own personal development.While the primary location is our main office in Bristol, this role offers the benefits of a hybrid model (blend of office and home-working). Typically this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office with a choice of working from home on the other days(following an initial induction period).What we are looking for:To be successful in this role, you will be passionate about building and gaining experience of working in Banking and Risk, and will have strong numeracy, organisational and analytical skills.A diverse thinker with an adaptable and flexible approach, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders and will be a supportive team player.This opportunity involves enrolling on an level 3 compliance and Risk officer apprenticeship via our provider BPP, GCSE Maths & English qualifications are required to enrol on this course grade A-C (9-4 on the new grading system).Our desired start date will be March 2023 and we will require the candidate to enrol on the course prior to the 13th of March, the course starts in April 2023Were looking for candidates to supply us with their CV and a covering letter that detailing:
