Job Description

Field based Rigger / Machine Mover required, for a company based in Avonmouth, BS11. This role involves moving and packing of equipment and machinery, predominantly in the hi-tech industry sector & in cleanroom environments.

  • £12.00 to £15.99 per hour PAYE depending on experience
  • Excellent overtime rates - Saturdays 1.5x, Sundays 2x, Bank Holidays 3x
  • Monday to Friday, 0800-1630
  • Early starts and late finishes are not uncommon - overtime rates apply!

About the job
  • Safely & effectively moving machinery using forklifts, skates and jacks etc
  • Working alongside colleagues in assembly, installation, disassembly & deinstallation of machines, tools & equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with airline security regulations.
  • Reporting damage & defects in machinery, tools & equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
The right candidate
  • Machinery movement & mechanical engineering experience
  • Current, valid B1 & B2 counterbalance forklift training (up to 15t capacity)
  • Experience of using power tools
  • Customer-focused
  • Ability to use computers, including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Able to work additional and/or unsociable hours when required, including travel away from home and abroad
