Job Description

Job Opportunity: Requirements and Acceptance Engineer - Marine SectorWe are currently seeking a talented Requirements and Acceptance Engineer to join our esteemed Marine client on a contract basis. The hourly rate for this role is up to £70 p/hour, depending on experience (inside IR35), with a minimum duration of 12months. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility, with occasional visits to the worksite in Bristol.Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify requirements to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria and industry standards.
  • Maintain requirements compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Define acceptance methodologies for both system and sub-system requirements.
  • Manage the assurance and acceptance process in collaboration with customers.
  • Provide guidance on Requirements and Acceptance.
  • Contribute to design reviews.
  • Skills and Experience Required for the Requirements and Acceptance Engineer role:
  • Define and manage work package descriptions, plans, and schedules.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Establish and oversee Requirements and Acceptance processes for various projects.
  • Hold a degree-level qualification in a STEM subject (Science/Technology/Engineering/Maths) or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in Requirements elicitation and management, and/or acceptance of complex systems.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
  • Desirable experience in the marine or defence industries.
