The purpose of the Registered Nurse is to be responsible and accountable for the clinical care and well-being of residents, by delivering holistic, evidence-based, and person-centred treatment/care. This is a professional role practicing within the guidanceand legal framework of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations, fundamental standards of quality and safety and NMCs Code and revalidation requirements. The role provides duty officer cover, including out of hours.Hours:Full-time or part-time. 7.5 hours per shift, including 30 minute paid meal breaks. A mixture of early and late shifts: 7am-2:30pm & 2pm-9:30pm. Working alternate weekends.Hourly rate:£20.87 per hour, plus weekend enhancement where applicableThe roleAt St Monica Trust, Nurses hold a lot of responsibility and have the authority to make important care decisions. Youll be taking the lead and caring for residents in a relaxing, homely environment for a much longer time than you would get the chance toin other settings.Youll also be responsible for administering medicine, treating any wounds, advising on illness or injuries, making referrals to multi-disciplinary teams and preparing for GP visits.Training and developmentWe offer a highly regarded preceptorship scheme that supports those nearing their official qualification.
