Job Description

This role offering full administrative support to fee earners, by maintaining any patent, design or trademark records on the database. This will include corresponding with clients, attorneys, IP offices and fee earners on a daily basis.Client DetailsOur client is an international Intellectual Property firm, experiencing huge growth. They are looking for a Records Administrator to join their growing Records team in Bristol.DescriptionThe duties and responsibilities for the Records Administrator include -

  • Short and long report to client regarding filing of GB National, European and International (PCT) patent applications
  • Short and long reports to client regarding filing of Foreign National Patents Trademarks and Designs
  • Full processing / ownership of Hong Kong Filings Stage 1 and Stage 2. Including chasing and acknowledging client instructions, Instruction of HK attorneys, reporting of Filing, Publication & Grant
  • Updating records and report to client grant details on Foreign Designs, Utility Models and Trademarks
  • Updates details from filing to grant for Foreign Utility Models
  • Reporting Foreign Filing publications (USA, HK and PCT)
  • Updating details for Foreign Filing instructions to Foreign Attorneys, filing reports, publication, exam filed, notice of acceptance/ allowance, grant fees paid, grant details and certificates
  • Creating official fee earner case actions for office actions from Foreign IPOs
  • Reporting certificates to clients
ProfileThe successful candidate for the Records Administrator role will -
  • Be exceptionally organised
  • Have strong administration skills (ideally 2+ years experience)
  • Have the ability to manage your own work load independently
  • Be ambitious and keen to learn
  • Have a keen eye for detail, and a high level of accuracy
