Established, stable Aerospace engineering company recruiting for a Quality Inspector due to retirement, salary £33,345 (6- 2, 2 -10 shift) £26,676 on days, 33 hols + pension.Job title: Quality inspector / engineering quality inspector / Aerospace quality inspectorSalary: £26,676 for days + 25% shift allowance for shift = £ 33,345Benefits: Pension, 33 days holidayHours: 38 hours a week 7am- 4pmMonday to Thursday, Friday 7am to 11amon days or shift option Monday to Friday 6 - 2, 2 - 10 (early finish on Fridays) Location: Bristol, BS10 Duration: PermanentThe Quality inspector / engineering quality inspector / Aerospace quality inspector role will involve dimensional and visual inspection of precision machinedcomponents, performing first off, intermediate and final inspection as well as supporting the requirementsfor documenting and maintaining records for these activities.The Quality inspector / engineering quality inspector / Aerospace quality inspector role is hands on and offers a broad remit involving dealing with problems and delivering practical solutions on the shop-floor. Inspection, verification and certificationof incoming material and sub-contract parts, producing First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with AS9102.Competent in accurately interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, review and interpret route cards, process instructions, drawings and inspection procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances, using all types of standard measuring equipment,competent in the use of CMMs. to Cad models.The successful Quality inspector / engineering quality inspector / Aerospace quality inspector will currently be a Quality inspector currently or possibly working in engineering with around 5 years quality experience and looking to develop your skills. In thisinstance candidates would need to demonstrate exceptional skills/aptitude, have an aerospace background and be eager to further develop their career.The Quality inspector / engineering quality inspector / Aerospace quality inspector will be one of a small team of quality inspectors reporting to the Quality manager and should be able to perform the role with a minimum of supervision.Candidates shouldhave a related engineering background, City + Guilds/NVQ or equivalent qualification and or specific quality related qualifications.
