Quality Engineering Manager (Aerospace)Bristol£Negotiable DOE + 25 days holiday + pensionAre you a Quality Manager from an Aerospace background looking to join a Tier 1 component supplier for engineer components and airframe OEMs supplying some of the most prestigious names in the market such as Rolls RoyceAre you from a Quality Engineering background looking to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business with over 80 years historyOn offer is an opportunity to work for an Engineering business supplying into the exciting and fast-growing aerospace industry who use state-of-the-art machine equipment to supply the most demanding OEM clients.The Quality Manager provides a vital role, leading a team that drives our product and system conformance, is relied upon to use initiative and sound aerospace judgement to ensure and assure continued compliance to our customers and industry requirements.We have embarked on a journey to revolutionise how we manage Quality and wish to find a strong Quality Manager to help us continue the journey, providing impetus and ambition in implementing new, more efficient and effective ways to ensure our continuedcompliance and improvement.This is an exciting position demanding an enterprising person that can work in an ordered and methodical manner whilst also being able to excite others on the improvement path. Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of all Quality Management processes including QMS documented information, Business Process integration and Ownership Engagement, FAIR/PPAP, Audit (internal and external), Inspection, Metrology & Calibration
• Provide leadership, direction, expertise and coaching in our Zero Defect ambition across Problem Solving (aligned to AS13000/RM13000) and Process Control (aligned to AS13003/4/6, RM13003/4/6)
• Drive continuous reduction in customer, internal manufacturing & supplier non-conformance in support of Zero-Defect initiatives

• Leading a team currently comprising 2 junior Quality Engineers, Inspection Team Leader and Inspection team and Quality Systems Manager/ Internal auditor
• Development of junior Quality Engineers to extend their capabilities and value to the business
• Working alongside Production and Supply Chain leaders in driving down problems and issues that affect product quality metrics (customer complaints, internal reject rates, concession rates etc.)
• Hosting team meetings, setting objectives to achieve strategic aims
• Support the timely issue of documentation to control business processes
• Efficient and effective QMS change process and traceability

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Experienced in forming, leading and developing quality teams
• Practical application of SharePoint and O365 applications as a QMS tool
• Proven ability to drive improvement projects to fruition
• Significant quality and manufacturing sector experience, preferably within the aerospace industry
• An approachable manner and able to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally
• Strong inter personnel and relationship building abilities
