Job Description

We are recruiting a Quality Assurance Lead based in the South West.You will be accountable for the SLA overview and tracking of the end-to-end network build processes together with the delivery of the network build programme to set standards, ensuring as-built works meet quality and compliance standards.Analyseany variance from the strategic business plan and design and report the information about KPIs and SLA compliance to the involved stakeholders.The main duties include the responsibility for the following:

  • Oversee Design Quality compliance: oversee the compliance of the design plan, avoiding delays for the build delivery, ensure that the latest design standards and guidelines are applied and continually improved with a focus on cost and timereduction. Ensure design quality and record updates enable an efficient programme rollout and future maintenance.
  • Oversee Build Quality compliance: oversee the progress of network build, supporting any quality issue / risk and suggest means for resolution, ensuring the issues are appropriately resolved by contractors.
  • Build Exception Approval Management: track all of the issues identified during the network acceptance until they are resolved appropriately, devise remedial actions and, when not possible, manage build exceptions.
  • Signing off As-Builts: once complete: with the support of the Network Design Manager, compare as-built networks against the high level and detailed design to ensure continuity; ensuring also reference compliance and quality standards.
  • Tracking and Reporting: oversee the updates to the required dashboards / report templates to track Quality performance from the design to the build acceptance.
  • Ensure clear organisational visibility: ensure a consistent reporting structure, ensure critical information is available to management teams at point of need.
  • Programme governance: operate and comply with required governance processes (internally and externally).
  • Completion of deliverables required for any delivery gate approvals.
  • Manage change requestsincluding impact on time, budget, and quality and input for validation.
  • Timely updates on status, changes, and other data on to the systems used for reporting and tracking.
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills & qualifications:
  • PIA, Previous network build experience: Proven record supporting large scale fibre/civils telecom programme roll out working within Planning/Design/Build environment. Knowledge of FTTH network topology, quality management principles, practices,tools and techniques.
  • Highly analytical mindset: be passionate about understanding and applying data-driven insights to the end-to-end network build processes
  • Attention to detail: strive for perfection in the network build programme and deliver high quality results.
  • Strong stakeholder management capability: Forge and maintain relations of trust with other stakeholders. Confidently negotiate, communicate, and interact with a range of external and internal stakeholders including local authorities.
  • Good understanding of enterprise risk management
  • Passionate, self-motivated, and driven with a hunger for learning and growth.
  • Results oriented with energy and accuracy to achieve and exceed stretching objectives and to deliver within tight timescales.
  • Always approaches tasks from the customers perspective, seeing potential problems and finding and driving solutions.
  • Dynamically responds to both strategic and tactical requirements.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (No more than 6 points)
