Job Description

Social Worker - Locality TeamLocation: Bristol, UK (Office-Based with Home Flexibility)Salary: Up to £48 per hourAbout Us: At QSW - Locality Team Bristol, were committed to providing exceptional social work services within Bristol City Councils legislative frameworks. We prioritize professional standards, ensuring our social workers are supportedto deliver their duties effectively while maintaining high standards of practice.Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our team. This role involves managing a caseload primarily focused on Child In Need and Child Protection work. While offering the flexibility of two days workingfrom home, this position requires three days office-based work, allowing for effective response to emergencies and access to necessary support.Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload within eligibility criteria, prioritizing service delivery and utilizing available resources effectively.
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct assessments and take responsible actions in situations where a service users safety is at risk, adhering to safeguarding policies and relevant legislation.
  • Resource Utilization: Advise on and facilitate the creative use of universal and community resources, including assistive technology, to support service users effectively.
  • Supervision and Development: Contribute to the development and supervision of social care workers, providing student supervision as required based on experience and position.
  • Specialized Skills: Concentrate on specific areas of work requiring developed skills, such as promoting the Signs of Safety methodology.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in Child In Need and Child Protection work.
  • Ability to work effectively within legislative frameworks and uphold professional standards.
  • Strong communication skills, ensuring information shared with service users and professionals is accurate and appropriate.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to professional capabilities frameworks.
