Hunter Masons client are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join their business on a full time permenant basis.This role will facilitate earthwork solutions for the construction industry across a range of different sectors such as core earthworks, reinstatement, residential, commercial and industrial project ground preparations.Objective roles and responsibilities• Project Management of a £2M contract with a Tier 1 Construction Company.• Taking lead / support role on other contracts (subject to experience).• Providing feedback to department heads in preparation of large quotes and tenders (up to ~£5M).• Undertaking detailed review of drawings, specifications, and other job parameters.• Contract management from tender negotiations stage, stakeholder liaison / monthly meetings.• Help plan works with one eye on site and another on the contract, programme and bill of quants.• Help build supplier base.• Help expand client base for business growth.• Getting feedback on production rates and processes from site for internal department calibrations.Qualifications & Experience• Tier 1 experience• Relevant HNC or degree in project management quantity surveying or similar• At least 5 years post-graduation experience• Subcontracting / contracting experience in groundworks, civil engineering or earthworks desired. Other experience will be considered where opportunity exists• Understanding of NEC and other formats of legal subcontractsNecessary Skills• Project Management Software• Numerical / Analytical / Manipulation of data / Spreadsheets• Understanding drawings• Ability to factor practical considerations of site work, plant and haulage• Drivers licence• Auto CAD / DWG True View (a bonus, not essential)
