Project Manager (Construction projects in solar)Bristol£30000-£40000 + Bonus + Pension + holidayDo you have experience in permitting construction projects in the United StatesAre you looking to join a leading renewable engineering company that will offer you development and clear progressionThis company are a solar PV developer that have project all over the world. Due to continued success and ambitious growth plans they are looking for a project manager to take charge of construction projects over in America.The Project Development Manager will work on greenfield solar and battery storage development in Virginia and New York, plus other states as we identify them. As a Project Development Manager for our US projects, you will be supported by the experienced Bristol office.The ideal candidate will be someone with at least one years experience in permitting construction projects in the United States. This experience will be with solar or other renewable energy projects.This is a great role for a Project Manager to join a growing company where you will play a key part in their growth and development.The role:*Managing the process of obtaining all permits required for the construction of projects*Managing the US Solar Development team at Aura Power, including selection and management of third party contractors*Originating new solar and battery storage projects (identifying and securing land; and identifying grid connection points)*Making and managing interconnection applications*Ownership of key development risks and milestones, including:*Economic feasibility*Procuring technical and site layout decisions*Relationships with landowners and key stakeholders*PPAs, incentives and project salesThe person:*Previous experience permitting construction projects of any kind in the United States is essential. *The ideal candidate will have experience permitting solar projects.*Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with strong commercial awareness.*Relationship-building skills*A degree is not essential.*Knowledge of and interest in the renewables sector (preferred).This vacancy is being advertised by Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd.
