Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join a leading insurance consultancy. Due to continued growth and success, they are now looking for a new Project Manager to join their team. Hybrid working options in any of these offices - Bristol preferred, Peterborough,Liverpool, Salisbury, Basingstoke considered as flexible working forms a part of the role They are expanding their change resource and are recruiting for a number of highly motivated Project Managers to join their successful and dynamic Change team. They are a market leader in the Life and Pensions industry and transformation and change is theirspecialism so these roles offer some great career opportunities to Project managers looking to step up or to chase new challenges that can really make a difference to our clients.As a result, they are looking for Project Managers to manage the delivery of a high scale project against agreed quality expectations, to meet the and Client business objectives.Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for delivery of a project or a work stream within a programme, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, to scope.
  • Ensures the application of the appropriate project management disciplines
  • Establishes an effective project organisation structure and responsible for project team shaping, building, development, management and motivation
  • Responsible for the budget reporting, forecasting and expenditure associated with projects.
  • Responsible for shaping and developing the technical solution in line with current strategy
  • Responsible for ensuring that the delivered project or work stream meets the needs of the business as specified in the original requirements.
  • Manages and contributes to the selection of supplier delivery relationships for technical partners, software vendors and contract agencies
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and key customers, ensuring delivery meets requirements
Your Competencies and Past Experience:
  • Educated to A level or equivalent experience or relevant Industry qualification
  • Ideally accredited at Project Management discipline (practitioner level) (e.g. Certified Project Manager, APMP, Prince2, ISEB)
  • Financial services experience (Banking, Insurance, Life & Pension) would be an advantage however, is not essential as project management skills are key to this role
  • Experience and excellent understanding of project management techniques and disciplines
  • Experience of management and motivation of a team of specialist and non-specialist staff
  • Experience of managing medium to high scale and / or medium to high risk projects in a commercial outsource organisation and / or financial services environment.
  • Has experience of managing multiple cross-functional stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Multi-disciplinary experience and has demonstrated ability to quickly come up to speed on new areas, to quickly build credibility with professionals from other disciplines
  • Has driven business solution identification and project initiation
