Their Transport team has developed and grown a wide-ranging portfolio of projects and clients covering a diverse array of schemes of all scales across the UK, which includes residential, health, education, retail, energy, leisure and employment. Followingthe success of their continued growth, they are now seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join their Bristol (Almondsbury B32 / M4/M5 interchange) Transport team to continue our growth as we seek to roll out their extensive Transport services nationwideand across the South West.You will be involved in managing a number of complex projects with the team and lead on the development and delivery of transport planning projects. This will also include the promotion of development sites from site identification/acquisition, planningapplication submission, discharge of planning conditions and monitoring through the planning process, preparing transport statements, assessments, travel plans and other supporting documentation such as Construction Traffic Management Plans.Alongside the Transport Director you will deliver market leading consultancy advice, necessitating a sound understanding of client requirements on projects and recognition of competing stakeholders interests with effective resource management. You willprovide support to senior staff as well as having the opportunity to develop your own project management and commercial skills.Person SpecificationThey are seeking an experienced Transport Planner with a thorough understanding of transport planning policy and delivery of projects to clients. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related subject (a masters degree in transport would be desirable)and sufficient experience within a private consultancy or local authority environment.We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate the following:
