Job Description

Principal Sustainability ConsultantBristolStarting Salary up to £55,000 per annum Depending on ExperienceRef: SH1424Our client, an award-winning multi-discipline consultancy, is currently looking for a Principal Sustainability Consultant to lead the business into the next chapter of growth and development. Our client offers a range of services across a number of sectors,such as education, healthcare, commercial, and residential. Your new role will see you join a growing team and leading and mentoring junior members of the sustainability team.This Principal Sustainability Consultant role will involve leading the already established sustainability team and the provision of expert advice related to Planning and Building Control compliance while reporting to the Group Directors.Some of the duties of your new Principal Sustainability Consultant role will include:

  • Leading, supporting, and developing the Sustainability Team.
  • Providing clients with detailed Energy & Sustainability Strategies for planning submissions.
  • Producing SAP/SBEM assessments and Energy Performance Certificates
  • You will be the driving force behind the continued growth of the business and have the flexibility and support to steer the business into new markets and opportunities.
  • Assist on commercial or domestic projects as needed.
  • Win new business for the company while maintaining the existing relationships.
To be considered for this Principal Sustainability Consultant role, you will ideally:
  • Have at least 5 years experience within sustainability, ideally at the senior/principal level
  • Be a qualified OCDEA and NDEA (Level 3/4/5)
  • Have a detailed understanding of Part L Building Regulations
  • Be proficient in the use of IES-VE/DesignBuilder
  • Have experience leading a team
  • Be passionate about winning new business while supporting the growth of the company
