Job Description

Principal Security ConsultantBristol, UK (Hybrid)Locke & McCloud are working with a leading IT Security Consultancy that are looking for a Principal Security Consultant to join their growing team!The consultancy takes immense pride and invest heavily in their Cyber Security team, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest facilities readily available for consultants to conduct their research and projects. The consultancy work alongside businessesto understand the value of their information assets, assess any security risks and develop the technical and procedural controls that are needed to manage these assets.This role is a mix of remote and on-site work with weekly visits during the week to client sites in London.Responsibilities:

  • Produce accreditation evidence, security policies and operating procedures, risk assessments, and security assurance management plans
  • Assessing and articulating business and information risk
  • Analysing the effectiveness of active security controls and proposing enhanced security improvements
  • Strong knowledge of Industry standards and the best practices for IT management and cyber security
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with existing clients, developing proposals to meet their needs, and working to actively grow your client base
Essential Experience
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior Cyber Security position
  • Certifications such as CCP Senior SIRA, and CISSP
  • Experience of the MoD security accreditation lifestyle
  • Strong knowledge of the industry standards and the best practice for IT management and cyber security
  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Essential Requirements:
  • DV Clearance is the preference, if not- it is vital that you are able to undergo the government security clearance process
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and have the relevant right to work documents
  • Willing to travel
Desired Experience & Skills
  • CCP certification
  • Working closewith suppliers and assuring security in their equipment deliveries
  • Previous extensive experience working as a MoD Security Assurance Coordinator
  • Experience of supporting the design and delivery of operational military systems
  • Experience taking on a mentoring/management approach over a team
