Job Description

Vacancy: Vehicle Polisher (Nights)Location: Avonmouth, BristolRate and benefits: £17.40 per hour, stakeholder pension plus other benefitsVacancy type and shifts: Permanent opportunity, 4 nights per week (Monday - Thursday), 44 hours per week, 12 hour shifts from 18:00 - 06:00Due to the opening of a brand new BCA fulfilment centre in Bristol in January 2021, we are looking to recruit a Polisher to join us and help build this exciting opportunity.BCA delivers a diverse range of high-quality automotive services. We pride ourselves in excellent customer service and product delivery, with large state of the art workshops and friendly experts trained to deliver to a variety of manufacturer standards.The role will assist in the daily production in order to achieve production figures, and produce high quality vehicles in line with customer standards.Role and Responsibilities:Duties will include but not be limited to;

  • Carry out polishing of new painted panels, ensuring all dirt inclusions are removed and the overall finish matches the original factory finish
  • Work within standards and processes laid down by paint and dry goods companies to ensure that a high-quality cost-effective end product is produced
  • Check all work prior to starting to ensure that it has been repaired to the required standard
  • Ensure all parts are removed and refitted in line with manufacturers instructions and bagged and labelled for easy identification
  • Remove and refit part prior to repair
  • Reject any sub-standard repairs
Technical skills:
  • Vehicle polishing skills
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Developing and maintaining professional and positive working relationships with colleagues
Experience required:
  • Experience of polishing vehicles
  • This role requires an enthusiastic, energetic person with a positive "can-do" attitude
  • Good understanding of vehicle refurbishment repair processes
  • Ability to carry out work provided competently and within deadlines
