Job Description

Our client is a Renewable Energy market leader in the fast-growing heat pump sector offering a wide range of services from design and installation to owning and operating the systems. They have some of the most experienced design and installation teams inthe UK and have completed hundreds of projects since their inception.The company was established in 2012 with the goal of becoming the number one provider of Renewable heating in the UK. A new joint venture with institutional backing provides an exciting opportunity for rapid growth as heat pumps become the technology ofchoice for the UKs net zero ambitions. This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to join one of the UKs leading Renewable heating companies and become an integral part of a fast growing and exciting industry.Main Purpose of Job:Our client is looking to hire a motivated and energetic engineer to support the installation teams in a period of significant growth. As part of the installation team, the responsibilities will include:

  • Heat pump installations on both multiple domestic sites and larger commercial project.
  • Install all associated pipework that forms part of the heat pump supply. Including from manifold to buffer tank and full distribution system
  • Competent in reading Mechanical schematic drawings
  • Responsible for on-site Heath & Safety in line with the company policy and legislation
  • Responsible for the quality and compliance of the system
  • 1st and 2nd Fix on domestic dwellings and plantrooms
Key Tasks:The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, a methodical mind set, and the self-structure required to work autonomously, and in a wider team. In anticipation of a significant period of growth, the candidate should be keen to take ownership oftasks and the development of new processes and systems required to take the company through the next stage of growth.
  • Plumbing and heating
  • Installation of domestic size ground source heat pumps
  • Installation of commercial size GSHP plantrooms
  • Installing first fix pipe work for heating and radiators
  • Work to high standard and to current regulations
  • Following programme of works
  • Working as part of a wider team of installers
  • Ability to travel and work away from home as required.
Person Specification:
  • Ideally with experience in Renewables
  • Experienced domestic plumber with a thorough understanding of heating and its distribution system, including underfloor heating
  • NVQ Plumbing and heating (or equivalent)
  • BPEC Heat pumps (Desirable)
  • Unvented hot water
  • Heating installation, or service and maintenance experience
Package:
  • Basic Salary £ 30-37k (depending on experience)
  • £30 monthly contribution to phone contract
  • Full time position
  • Van provided
  • Project specific bonus scheme
