Job Description

Urgent Requirement for a Planning Manager to work on for the UKs largest infrastructure and defence supplier!Must be UK National and Eligible for SC Clearance!This opportunity is looking for a planning manager to work on a large infrastructure and Defence project in the South West. Our client focus on providing design and engineering solutions across Nuclear, Defence and Naval sectors on a global scale.This role is looking for someone with:

  • Experience developing the concepts and vision for a companys large and diverse programme/ portfolio level strategic planning.
  • Working knowledge of the detailed technical P6 implementation through to the organisational governance and planning control for large scale projects
  • Solid P6 planning background that shows the ability to work with a project or programme organisation to plan.
  • Focus on understanding the activities they are planning, makes effort to validate planning data from stakeholders in the project, and constructively challenge the logic of the plans to improve its veracity.
  • Experience in Microsoft project would be very beneficial.
The chosen candidate must show they have/are:
  • The gravitas to operate with and present to all levels of the organisation including executive.
  • Must be a self-starter than can turn aims and objectives into real and implementable solutions.
  • Someone that has the bedside manner, diplomacy, effective communication skill (oral and written) and influencing and negotiating skills to work across a broad and diverse set of stakeholders to develop technical and process/governance solutions for programme/portfoliolevel planning.
