Job Description

PHP DeveloperRemote£45,000 - £50,000Mainstay are working with a world leading digital learning provider to look for a PHP Developer for an exciting new remote role.The successful candidate will have expertise as a PHP Developer and 3+ years of PHP7 application development. As a PHP Developer youre responsible for the middleware between the front-end apps and back-end APIs. The client uses a PHP based headless CMScalled Craft CMS developing applications used in their eLearning productsRole

  • You will be working with Front End Developers to help develop applications for clients
  • You will also be working with Back End Developers to integrate RESTful APIs.
  • You will help design, build, test and deploy modern PHP applications.
  • Troubleshoot and optimise applications.
  • MySQL/MariaDB and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Creating and maintaining application documentation.
  • Writing automation tests.
  • Working in a cross-functional agile Scrum team

Candidate
  • Preferably a bachelors degree in engineering or science, but we will consider other degrees for the right candidate.
  • Experienced in building websites and applications using Craft CMS.
  • At least 3+ years of PHP7 application development and associated frameworks (e.g. Symphony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, CakePHP).
  • Proficient with CSS and JavaScript frameworks.
  • Knowledge of building or maintaining CMSs, preferably headless.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
  • Security best practise.
  • B2C or B2B product development.
  • Experienced with Agile software development
