Job Description

Network Installation Team Leader Location: BristolContract length: PermanentPay rate: Circa £40,000 per annumMy client is a UK technology business working with customers where security and the protection of sensitive data are critical. They use their intelligence, capabilities, and technology to make sustainable change easy for their customers through their expertisein transformation, engineering, and consulting services.Role SummaryThe day-to-day supervision of an installation team (s) carrying out works to deliver customer projects. Direct responsibility for the welfare of the engineering resource, ensuring installation documentation is completed, assisting with site surveys and quotes.ResponsibilitiesDelivery:

  • To ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions and services and ensure that the highest level of client satisfaction is achieved
  • Act as an escalation point for issues found during delivery
  • Regular and effective communication within the Delivery team
  • Undertake and resolve fault calls
  • Maintain day to day contact with customer stakeholders
  • Liaise with line management to establish relevant stock control and materials management.
  • Ensure all relevant administration is achieved on time i.e., shipping requests, work permits and site access

Key Skills and Requirements
  • Experience of terminating fibre optic cables (cold cure and splicing)
  • Experience of terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, category 6 etc)
  • Experience of testing both fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke Testers
  • Good knowledge of current installation practices
  • Ability to work as part of a close team to high standards of workmanship
  • Experience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)
  • CNCI Certification or City and Guilds 3662
  • PASMA Certification
  • ECS / CSCS Certification
  • Knowledge of OTDR testing would be an advantage
