REED Technology are pleased to be working with a public sector organisation based in North Bristol who are looking to recruit an IT Network Engineer to join their passionate and friendly team.Supporting a network spanning multiple sites and at enterprise level the successful candiate will lead on the management of the full network lifecycle, ensuring that it is fit for purpose, secure and continually improved.Key Responsibilities• Network proactively maintained and managed ensuring high network availability to support all IT services, meeting or exceeding agreed service levels• Highly secure and resilient network design compliant with ISMS policy and other industry standards and best practice• Integrates and tests components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services• Relevant assurance reporting in place to provide corporate confidence in the delivery of core IT function e.g capacity planning, firmware patching status etc.• Risks identified and managed/treated appropriately• Supports, designs, and implements the following network technologies: LAN, WAN, wifi, data-centre LAN, SD networks, telephony, mobile solutions infrastructure, unified comms, network management solutions, network-specific security and remote access technologies and approachesTechnical Skills Required:• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Dell switching equipment• CCNP or equivalent level• Strong LAN. WAN experience with demonstrable experience of designing and implementing resilient networks across multiple sites• Experience of establishing and maintaining networks in Azure/Hybrid environment• Demonstrable experience of configuring and maintaining network security tools e.g. SIEM, IDS, IPS• Experience of SOC work and managing security incidents• Network monitoring Syslog, PRTG (or similar), SNMPv3• Capacity planning• Cisco ASA Firewalls and AnyConnect Remote VPNs, Site to Site VPNs• NAC, Dot1x authentication, certificate authentication• Aerohive Wireless• VRFs• STP, DNS, SNMP ,STP, ACLs, VLANs• Exposure to DevOps methodologies including using Azure DevOps – desirableIf this sounds like you, please apply online or for more information contact me on
