The RoleThis is a super exciting opportunity to join a high-growth Tech-for-good business, as a Mid/Senior Backend Developer (PHP, Laravel). You will join a medium sized team who are about to embark on an exciting period of growth as they have recently received the backing of another global energy business thus making their business vision to secure funding to accelerategrowth that much quicker!As a Mid/Senior Backend Developer (PHP, Laravel), you will play an integral part with supporting their product roadmap contributing to the development of website and app development within the development team. You will write REST APiswithin a LAMP stack. You should have a solid knowledge of frameworks and a knowledge of DevOps. You will play a leading role in a new and exciting sector and create well-written software for a market leader. You will get the opportunity to contribute ideasin a disruptive business. They are positive about continuous improvements and professional development and keeping up to date with the latest technologies and trends in the marketplace, to keep them ahead of their competitors.Essential Skills:
  • 2+ years experience with PHP
  • Experience in PHP frameworks - they use Laravel but others are welcomed and you will learn Laravel
  • REST APIs
  • Knowledge of OOP and software design patterns
  • Use of Git and AGILE
Preferential Skills:
  • DevOps - Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins
  • Authentication platforms
  • Modern JavaScript frameworks i.e. React and Angular
  • Experience of unit testing
