Kingston Barnes has two fantastic opportunities in the Bristol area for a time served Mechanical Maintenance Technician. The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will either be working a permanent day shift or a panama shift. Our client is a highly successful material handling company based in Avonmouth. They are looking for suitably qualified and experienced MechanicalMaintenance technicians to join their team.The Role: Monday - Friday day positionProviding predominantly Pre Planned Maintenance to existing and new materials handling equipment, heavy cranes, conveyors, ship cranes. The site is growing and developing new structures and machinery.- Planned, reactive and corrective maintenance work in several different environments- Liaise with operations to rectify unserviceable machinery using fault finding- Ensure completion of documentation including daily logs and work orders- Carry out duties with care and attention adhering to H&S policiesThe Candidate: - Minimum NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar- Previous experience working with large gearboxes, motors and conveyors- Good with heights- Experience with Heavy bulk material handling systems, heavy manufacturing (steel, concrete)- Forces, RAF, REME, NavyPackage: - £40,000 - £45,000- 25 days holiday plus an additional 8 days for Bank Holidays- Generous contributory pension schemeKingston Barnes is a specialist recruitment agency, our deep rooted knowledge of the industry means we have insight into which companies may suit you which will enable you to achieve your career ambitions..
