Job Description

Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer - BristolRef: DB1174Competitive Salary Plus BenefitsOur client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their well-established, award winning consultancy team. The role offers the successful candidate the opportunity for flexible working and the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects withinthe residential, industrial, healthcare and retail sectors.To be considered for this Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer role you will have:

  • BSc/MSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar
  • Minimum three years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in sustainability, renewable energy technologies, thermodynamics, and energy systems
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Full clean UK driving license (desirable)
  • Brilliant time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Understanding of the built environment
Working as a Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer you will:
  • Manage projects for internal and external clients
  • Utilise dynamic simulation software as part of energy, CO2, thermal and daylight analysis
  • Complete drawings, reports, and specifications
  • Undertake site visits and monitor progress against the design
  • Advise clients on integrating renewable energy technologies into buildings to provide sustainable energy
