An SME product design house in Bristol is looking for an enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer with a good level of industry experience to join their Research and Development team. The team consist of of embedded engineers, electronics engineers and Mechanical Design Engineers.The company specialises in physical devices for the commercial, entertainment and hospitality sector. All design and manufacturing of their products happens onsite in Bristol, between a team of skilled engineers.Since the company diversified into a new sector 24 months ago there has been huge demand for its design solutions and globally. They are currently distributing to 40+ countries with this only set to grow.The company has kept a positive trajectory despite the current climate and there is a huge amount of belief and excitement withing the business that 2021 will be a successful year. In this role the mechanical design engineer will be enhancing existing products with new technology and features whilst also developing brand new products from concept stage.In this role you will have opportunity to work on exciting product development. Some task work will be brand new product designs, other task work will be redesigning and improving existing products.You should be comfortable working in a small multidiscipline team and a company that has a feel of a start-up.For the products you will be designing it would be beneficial if you have plastic injection moulding experience and have designed products that enclose pcb electronics. Experience of designing products that have plastic casings is highly desirable.If you are a Mechanical Designer who thrives off varied work and design challenges, whilst also having responsibility this will be a role you will enjoy.SKILLS REQUIRED:
