Job Description

Job Opportunity: Manual & CNC GrinderLocation: BristolHours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 16:00 Friday 7:30am - 12:00 (37-hour week)OR Monday to Friday - 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm (40 hours over 52 weeks) £37,800 per annum.20% shift allowance on both shifts.Benefits: Pension after 3 months, Death in service after 12 months, Cycle to work scheme after probation, Overtime available paid at a 1.5 rate, 25 days holiday plus bank holidaysDescription:Join our team as a Manual & CNC Grinder at our Bristol location. Were seeking a skilled individual to operate traditional and CNC cylindrical grinding machines, producing high-precision components for the motorsport and aerospace industries.Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and prepare grinders.
  • Interpret engineering drawings.
  • Perform 1st-off checks for CMM inspection.
  • Grind various metal components to tight tolerances.
  • Potentially work alternative shifts/hours.
  • Undertake other duties or projects as directed by management.
General Duties:
  • Follow company policies, including safety, HR, and ethical standards.
  • Conduct all activities with consideration for others, resource efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Lead by example, aligning with company values and mission.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:Essential:
  • Previous CNC grinding experience.
  • Previous manual machining experience.
Desirable:
  • Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and engineering drawings.
  • Previous aerospace experience.
