Job Description

We stay at the cutting edge of retailing;consistently providing outstanding customer service and winning global retail awards.About the role:Reporting to the Financial Controller, the critical aspect of this role is the preparation, review, and delivery of the monthly management accounts whilst ensuring appropriate controls, accuracy and data integrity are in place.What youll be doing:

  • Responsible for one direct reportFinance Assistant, Management Accounts
  • Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts and associated management reporting, in an accurate and timely manner, including full P&L, Balance Sheet and indirect cashflow for individual UK, US and Australia companies, along with consolidatedview
  • Full variance analysis on a month and year to date basis versus budget, forecast and prior year, explaining all key variance drivers in a clear and concise way
  • Ownership of the full balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring relevant teams prepare and approve as per internal deadlines, whilst ensuring sufficient quality levels are met through audit and review
  • Preparation/approval of a range of balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Ownership of Cruise Line annual commission schedules, ensuring data is accurate and up to date on a monthly basis
  • Quarterly reconciliation of cruise line commission schedules to internal records
  • Performing the system month end close activities
About you:
  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified or near qualified
  • Previous experience as a management accountant or an experienced assistant management accountant ready to progress
  • Experience in managing at least one direct report
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively to ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience of management accounts within a multi-currency business
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
