Established and successful Manufacturer based in Bristol recruiting for a Mechanical maintenance engineer Basic 28 - 30k + o/t. OTEJob title: Mechanical maintenance engineer / multi skilled engineer / Mechanical fitterSalary: £28 -30,000 plus overtime ( regular 5 -10 per weekHours: Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00 39 hours per weekBenefits: 21 - rising to 25 days (after 1 year)+ bank holidays, pensionLocation: Bristol BS5Duration: PermanentThe Mechanical maintenance engineer / multi skilled engineer / Mechanical fitterwill undertake repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance tasks PPM, as well as installation and commissioning work from time to time.The Mechanical maintenance engineer / multi skilled engineer / Mechanical fitterwill carry mechanical and basic electrical (tasks like removing motors) and ideally basic fault finding on PLC knowledge is preferred.The successful Mechanical maintenance engineer / multi skilled engineer / Mechanical fitter must have either completed a relevant apprenticeship in mechanical/Electrical engineering or maintenance engineering and hold NVQ/City and Guilds or equivalent qualificationsor be time served by experience demonstrating a work history in production maintenance.The successful candidate should ideally have experience with replacing bearings, chains and sprockets (conveyors), hydraulic cylinders and disconnecting motors for repair off site.The Mechanical maintenance engineer / multi skilled engineer / Mechanical fittershould have the skill and ability to identify problems and resolve them using their own initiative.The role is working for a friendly company with a good benefits package including up to 25 days holiday + bank holidays, sick pay scheme and pension and long term security.Travail Employment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
