2 Paediatric Radiology Consultants - 10PA post (Locum)University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest acute Trusts in the country and a major teaching and research centre. With 10 hospitals and over 100 different clinical services, we support the delivery of excellent care to the people of Bristol and beyond.Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is one of the leading children’s hospitals in the UK. BRCH is a secondary care centre for local paediatric population in Bristol and surrounding area, but also a tertiary and major trauma centre for children across the South West of England.We are looking for a 2 Consultant Paediatric Radiologist (10PAs) who are interested to join our current team of 6 Paediatric Radiology Consultants (one on maternity leave and one will retire next Year).The successful candidates will have an opportunity to practice all imaging modalities, participate in quality improvement projects, to develop specialized interest and to lead multidisciplinary meetings. They will also be expected to participate in training of students, registrars and Fellow.Pediatric Radiology Consultants provide an out of hour’s on-call service for general pediatric imaging (currently a 1 in 6 rota with prospective cover for leave). On-call at this frequency is remunerated with a 5% on-call salary supplement and a total of app.17 days’ time off in lieu of further payment. These days may be taken flexibly and are in addition for normal annual leave allowances.The Radiology Department is well-equipped, and is strongly involved in research and training, hosting 15 specialist Radiology trainees from the Severn Deanery at any time as well as Fellows.Bristol was rated as the best city to live in the UK by the Sunday Times in 2017. Bristol has coast and countryside right on its doorstep. The city has strong transport links with airport connecting many UK and European destination. The faster rail networks will see journey times to London cut to just 80 minutes.
