Linux EngineerBristol6 months Fixed term contractExcellent holiday and pension benefit Our client is at the beginning of a huge digital transformation and they are seeking an experienced Linux Specialist to support the work they are going to be undertaking for the next couple of years. You will help plan, develop, provide and co-ordinate expansive IT services and infrastructure including servers, data-storage and desktop management. You will also be responsible for life-cycle management including identifying requirements, co-ordinating approaches and the planning, development and maintenance of the resulting service.Essential Skills and Experience:* Substantial experience of building and maintaining enterprise scale operations and IT infrastructure.* Design and documentation of service and management protocols related to enterprise level IT infrastructure which form part of a service life cycle and change management process.* Extensive technical project management experience in a large scale IT function.* Experience of delivering technical presentations to peers and colleagues at all levels of the organisation, and the ability to adapt these to an audience of differing technical knowledge.Desirable:* Linux Server (Centos).* Microsoft Azure.* Understanding of Core networking principles; L2/L3 routing, load balancing, firewalls, zero trust and IPV4 and IPV6.* Experience of legacy Linux Infrastructures and remediation.To apply, send your CV to Amy Williams @ Certes Computing today!Certes Computing (and all of its subsidiary companies) is committed to promoting equality and diversity in its business operations.
