Job Description

Light Commercial Mechanic Permanent Bristol(Across multiple sites) Full time, 45-hour week £34,000 - £36,000 per annum (DOE)My client, an established, growing business within the Construction industry, are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking Light Commercial Mechanic to join their expanding team located across multiple sites in Bristol!Our client is looking for a candidate who is motivated and driven and has a positive approach to work, as well as experience within light mechanical role.Duties for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Performing routine maintenance and servicing on vans, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in vans.
  • Conducting thorough vehicle inspections and identifying potential problems.
  • Collaborating with the service team to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintaining accurate records of services and repairs performed.
  • Advising customers on necessary repairs and maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and longevity.
  • Ordering parts required for repairs and servicing works
  • Completing report logs for all repair work and services
  • Travelling to multiple sites
The ideal candidate for this position will have/ be:
  • NVQ level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualifications such as City and Guilds
  • Previous solid experience within a light vehicle mechanical role
  • A solid understanding of health and safety
  • A positive work attitude
  • The ability to work well within a team
  • Able to work within given timeframes
  • Self – motivated
  • Able to work to a high standard
